Jesus calls ordinary people into an extraordinary life. Not extraordinary by the world’s standards, but according to his purposes and ways, which lead to true flourishing both now and in the life to come. Yet the world is always pulling us back toward the ordinary. This study challenges us to stay alert, to stand firm in the calling we have received, and to live with the kind of strength that produces a compelling witness to the goodness of his kingdom for all who watch us.
