“To you it has been given to know the secrets of the Kingdom.” These are the words spoken by Jesus to his disciples regarding His use of parables, or stories, that often remained a mystery to those listening in His day. The meaning of these stories was intended to be veiled in mystery not to prevent understanding but to drive men and women to Him for that understanding.
