Thank you for your generosity in providing new toys for many under-privileged families in the Wichita area this Christmas season. These families will receive the toys for their children next weekend. Please pray for this outreach to the community as we minister to many families next weekend.
This past week, HHH partnered with Slumberland to provide 17 new beds to under-resourced families in conjunction with the Homes for the Holidays Program. In addition to this event, HHH will continue to distribute beds for Slumberland as a partner through the 40 Winks Foundation. To learn more about this program, log on to 40winksfoundation.com.
Finally, please plan to attend the HHH Heavenly Treasures Open House this Sunday, 12/7/08, from 3pm to 5pm at the HHH facility located at 1441 E. 37th Street North. If you have never been to His Helping Hands, this will be a good time to take a tour of the facility and learn more about the ministry. Thanks for your support of HHH.

The HHH Christmas Distribution will be held on 12/13/08. We are anticipating 600 to 800 people representing approximately 250 families. During the distribution, the parents will be able to select a new toy for each of their children. If you would like to contribute new toys for this distribution, please bring the toys to CCC on any of the next three weekends and place under the tree in the foyer.
His Helping Hands ministry needs counselors to share the Gospel of Christ with our clients on Saturday mornings. Pastor Welsh has been encouraging all of us to share our faith with others. At HHH, you have a tremendous opportunity to do this since each of our clients meets with a counselor.
If Interested, please call Laura at 838-8528 or Paul at 425-0639.

Here are Donations We Accept
Clothing
All types of clothing (in season). All sizes, women, men, children, babies. All items must be in good condition and clean.
Household goods
Housewares, bedding, sheets, blankets, towels, dishes, cooking pots and pans, silverware, glassware, towels, washcloths, and toiletry items. All items must be in usable condition.
Furniture & Appliances
We collect basic household furniture to provide free to those who have need of the items.
This includes: bed frames, mattresses, tables, chairs, couches, easy chairs, bookcases, etc. Electric Appliances that are in working order, including: refrigerators, electric ovens, microwaves, toasters, coffee makers, washers & dryers, and freezers.
All appliances must be in good working condition. Due to insurance regulations, we cannot accept gas appliances.
Donation Policies
His Helping Hands will gladly accept any donation of material goods that meet our requirements and can be shared with those who have need.
It must be understood by the donor that all items we receive will be given away, used, or dispensed in the best way that fits our policies and program.
Some of our limitations of what we can receive are: Clothing and items must be clean, wearable or useable when donated. Items needing repairs before being used may be rejected; especially if there will be some cost to make the repairs. Food items must be good nutritious items that are free from spoilage, and not out of date for safe use.
We will not accept office or commercial furniture unless we are aware of some of our partners in ministry who have need for those items.
If at any time we have an over abundance of any items, we may donate those items to some of our partners in ministry.
Partners in Ministry
His Helping Hands recognizes that to meet the needs of families and individuals who suffer from low income, loss of jobs, loss of homes, etc. can be overwhelming for any one service organization to respond to.
Therefore we “partner” with other churches and agencies in the community to better provide the special needs of these people. Connecting with these partners we are able to share with them some of the resources made available to us. In return, at times they share some of their resources with us.
