For His purposes, God blessed Peter
with a deep love for music that was evident even as a small
child.
This love for music, combined with
a scientific curiosity he inherited from his father, gave
him a determination to study and understand music. This
was the driving force that motivated him to learn piano.
By age 15, he began playing in a
band with high school friends and began learning how to
arrange and compose. In 1972, he attended Jacksonville University
and received his Bachelor of Music in Composition and Theory.
This was followed by a time of further study at Boston’s
Berklee School of Music and later the University of South
Florida.
During the years after graduation,
Peter began working as a free-lance musician. It was at
this time that God began to place a call upon his life,
and in 1979, he received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord
and Savior.

Destined to serve Him with the musical gifts God had blessed him with, Peter soon found himself in the role of Choir Director at Tampa Bay Community Church and by 1986, God blessed him with his beautiful wife, Debi. They have three children: Meaghan, Bryce and Max.
Prior to Central, Peter served the Lord in four other Music Ministries and in 1993, he was called to move to Wichita and serve with Pastor Joe Wright here at Central Christian.By 1996, He had received his Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Friends University.
Peter loves all of the people involved in the Fine Arts Department and considers it an honor to serve the Lord with them in this awesome ministry!
