10:30 am Adult Education Classes

Carriers of the Spirit  •  10:30 am  •  Parlor

Taught by Ross Lamp •  Multi-Generational

This class will be going through the book “The Faith” by Charles Colson and will be taught by Ellen Myers and Pastor Ross Lamp.  Colson writes “Christians must see that the faith is more than a religion or even a relationship with Jesus; the faith is a complete view of the world and humankind’s place in it.”  Ignorance of our own faith comes at the most critical of times for Christianity and the world at large.  The twin threats of anti-theism and radical Islam are made all the more menacing because Christians, unaware of the truths under girding their faith, are so ill-equipped to defend it.  This book will provide a new grounding for Christians who’ve been practicing their faith for years yet still lack a firm grasp of the basic truths on which their faith rests.  It’s a vital response for Christians who want to be prepared to defend their faith intelligently and passionately.  We are a multi-generational class and invite individuals and families to participate with us. Don and Brenda Nichols serve as our class leaders.  For other questions please contact Pastor Ross Lamp at Central Christian 688-4400.  Come join us for a great time of study and fellowship together!

Beginner Guitar •  10:30 am  •  Central Court North Stage

Taught by Steve Brummer •  For 10 years + thru Adults

Have you ever wanted to learn to play the acoustic guitar?  We are offering a class that will teach you to play. Throughout the class you will learn how to tune a guitar, chords, strumming patterns, and begin to learn some simple worship songs. We will move at a slow pace to provide everyone a good chance at learning. Whether you’ve never played before, or if you have some basic experience, you will enjoy learning in this class.  One note about the class:  You will need to register this year as we will limit the class to the first 30 registrants.  If you are 10 or under, you will need to attend the class with a guardian.  Please register to Sherri at reinstatlers@ccc.org.  The class will meet in the Central Court on the stage. You will need your own acoustic guitar throughout the class.  Also, please plan on committing to practicing 30 minutes at least 5 of the 7 days.  Please contact Steve at brummers@ccc.org if you have any questions.
